Scottish Device Developers’ Conference 2015

Abelon news item

The 2015 Scottish Device Developers’ Conference was a great success and we’d like to say a big thank you to all the visitors who came to see us, either at the talk or who stopped by our stand to say hello.

Abelon Systems Managing Director Ian Smith gave a talk on developing embedded systems for harsh environments using examples from case studies from a number of recent client projects to highlight some of the challenges raised by these hostile environments and the solutions used to overcome them. This was extremely well attended and extra chairs had to be brought in to seat all the people who wanted to hear this talk!

If you would like a copy of the slides, please contact us here and we’ll be happy to send you a copy.

The Scottish Device Developers Conference is a one-day event for engineers, designers and computer scientists working to develop intelligent systems and devices and will take place on the 4th June, at Uphall. It is intended that the Conference will enable developers to explore new tools and technologies, discover new suppliers and learn from industry experts.

Consisting of a vendor exhibition, a broad range of technical presentations and several half-day technical workshops, The Scottish Device Developers’ Conference is expected to prove a worthwhile and productive day for those working in the field of embedded systems and mission critical computing.
