Abelon Systems Most Innovative Project Prize 2013

Abelon Systems is delighted to announces the award of the 2013 Prize for Most Innovative Project to Christopher Allan of Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, for his fascinating MSc Project on "Implementing a Data Mining Approach to Emotional Memory Modelling".

Christopher recently completed his MSc in Artificial Intelligence with Distinction at the University and carried out the project as part of his course work. His dissertation also achieved the highest mark for the 2012/2013 cohort.

Abelon Systems Appointed Class A Supplier to Aker Solutions

Following a detailed qualification process, Abelon Systems Limited are confirmed as a Class A supplier to Aker Solutions for subsea control firmware.  With this new status, Abelon is a named supplier to major Aker projects.  Aker recently announced it will contract with BP to help redevelop one of the largest oil fields in the UK sector. 

Ian Smith, Abelon’s Managing Director said:  “Obtaining Class A supplier status is a clear recognition of the quality of the work have done for Aker Solutions over the years and a testament to the relations we have built up with them over that period”

Abelon Systems Limited relocates to one of Scotand's Premier Research Parks

After eight successful years of trading from Castlebrae Business Centre, we are pleased to annouce that Abelon has relocated to Heriot-Watt University Research Park.

Building 4 is our new home, providing a bespoke base for our engineering team. With our already close links to Heriot-Watt University, this is an ideal location and opportunity. The expansion allows us to continue to support our customer base, but in a more specialised and customer focused R&D environment. We now have a dedicated customer testing room, R&D labs and meeting rooms. Staff can also enjoy improved office accomodation and the benefits of co-location with the University campus.
