Subsea Control System Wins Subsea UK Innovation and Technology Award

One of Abelon's long standing partners, Aker Solutions, has triumphed at the Subsea UK Awards, winning the Innovation and Technology Award for its Vectus™ 6.0 Subsea Electronics Module (SEM).

Abelon Systems was chosen by Aker Solutions to help design and develop the embedded firmware for the Vectus 6.0 platform. Having worked with Aker since 2005 to develop previous generations of its SEMs, Abelon were ideally placed to form part of the embedded firmware design team on this project. Vectus 6.0 is the latest development in SEMs which are used to remotely control oil and gas production systems placed on the seafloor. Compared with its predecessors, Vectus 6.0 provides greater data and power capabilities at lower project execution risks. The electronics and software platform can be adapted to meet future industry needs and has been designed with a focus on quality, reliability and manufacturability..
